2012/2013 NFL Season Preview
There’s a reason people get excited come football season — because each year promises to be better than the next! And if last year wasn’t enough for you, there will be enough fodder this season to see exciting storylines every single week, and tons of great teams to follow. Here’s just a glimpse of what we can expect of this year’s NFL season.
Indianapolis Colts
Who knows what the Colts will do this year? With Peyton Manning out all year with injury they never even had a chance. But this year could see a real change in Indianapolis and they have Andrew Luck leading the way. Luck has a resume much like Manning’s, and he’s already started off the year with a big touchdown, the same way Manning did. Whatever Luck does this year, it’s going to be fun to watch.
Denver Broncos
You can’t talk about the Colts without next talking about the Denver Broncos, which is where Andrew Luck’s predecessor now resides. The Broncos have a tough schedule right off the bat looking at games against the Steelers, Patriots, Chargers, Saints, Texans, and Raiders, and Falcons. Peyton’s there to charge the way though, and this team will easily go to the playoffs.
Green Bay Packers
The Green Bay Packers were one of the biggest surprises last year, being ousted from the playoffs by the New York Giants. But this year they still have all the players that make them one of the best in the league, including Aaron Rogers, and they have some great additions too, including C Jeff Saturday.
New York Giants
After sending the Green Bay Packers home in last year’s playoffs and moving on to Super Bowl victory, everyone is wondering what the Giants are going to do this year. But, another victory is most likely not in the cards. The Giants were the champs last year, but not because they had a spectacular season. In fact, they barely made it into the playoffs and their defeat of the Packers was the biggest upset of the playoffs. Now that they’ve also let go of WR Mario Manningham, and that could end up hurting them.
New England Patriots
The Patriots are always one of everybody’s favorite teams to watch; namely because they’re so good at the game and Tom Brady is supremely talented. Nothing much will change for the Pats this year. They’ll still be one of the best teams in the league, as they have been for the past ten years; and bringing WR Brandon Lloyd in could be a huge support to the franchise. Even if he doesn’t live up to his potential though, this is a team that will be in the playoffs.
What are you most looking forward to for the upcoming NFL season? Who do you think will make the playoffs, and be the biggest disappointment?
