Recap: Oklahoma City vs. Detroit

Oklahoma City, OK (SportsNetwork.com) - Brandon Jennings scored eight of his game-high 29 points in overtime to send Detroit to a 96-89 triumph over Oklahoma City on Friday night.

Josh Smith ended with 18 points and Greg Monroe tallied 14 points with nine rebounds for the Pistons, who snapped a 10-game skid to the Thunder. It was their first victory against Oklahoma City since Dec. 26, 2008.

Jeremy Lamb notched the first double-double of his career with 24 points and 10 rebounds, but the Thunder failed to build on a 15-point comeback win at Boston Wednesday night.

Reggie Jackson had 20 points and 12 assists, and Serge Ibaka chipped in 19 points and 10 rebounds.

Oklahoma City went 12-of-36 from 3-point range and made just 1-of-6 from the foul line.

"We obviously have to put ourselves in a better position to get the line, but give them credit. They played good defense and made us take a lot of 3s," Thunder coach Scott Brooks said.

A layup from Jennings with 1:26 left in regulation forced the extra session with the score even at 82. Both teams missed chances in the final minute to win in regulation, with Jackson failing on a step-back jumper from the foul line as the clock hit zero.

The Pistons took control in OT with Jennings scoring eight in a row. It was part of a 12-0 burst. He first drilled a 3-pointer, then hit a layup and another 3-ball for a 92-84 lead with 1:29 left. Kentavious Caldwell-Pope capped the burst with a tip-in.

"It's one game, we got 73 more to go," said Jennings. "But you know this is a good feeling to get a win on this road trip."

Jackson had 12 first-quarter points to help the Thunder to a 30-21 lead after 12 minutes, this after the visitors led by eight early in the game.

OKC held a 48-42 lead at the half, but Jennings scored 15 in the third to carry the Pistons to a 67-66 edge going to the fourth. His layup in the final seconds gave Detroit the one-point lead.

Jonas Jerebko's 3-pointer extended the cushion to 77-68, but OKC came back with a 12-2 burst, culminated by Anthony Morrow's 3-pointer with 2:14 left.
