Recap: USC vs. Loyola Marymount

Los Angeles, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jordan McLaughlin tallied 18 points and dished out seven assists as the USC Trojans demolished the Loyola Marymount Lions, 77-61, in a non-conference affair at Galen Center.

Julian Jacobs added 14 points for USC (5-3), while Nikola Jovanovic chipped in with 12 points and eight rebounds. Katin Reinhardt contributed 11 points in the win.

Evan Payne scored 19 points on 7-of-14 shooting to pace Loyola Marymount (3-4).

USC shot 41.9 percent from the floor in the first half, allowing the Trojans to take a 36-21 lead into the intermission. Loyola Marymount could only hit on 28.1 percent shooting in the frame.

The Trojans improved to 51.6 percent shooting in the second period, and made 5-of-9 from 3-point range. The Lions increased their shooting accuracy to 44.4 percent, but couldn't make up any ground on the substantial USC lead.

The Trojans worked the transition game, outscoring Loyola Marymount 17-4 in fast-break points. They also held a 38-32 advantage in points in the paint.
