College Station, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Jalen Jones scored a game-high 27 points as the Texas A&M Aggies turned away the Youngstown State Penguins, 81-63, in non-conference play at Reed Arena.

Jones, who pulled down eight rebounds, converted 11-of-13 shots from the floor and was a perfect 4-of-4 behind the 3-point line for the Aggies (7-2) as they bounced back from a 77-63 loss to Baylor earlier in the week. Also having a strong game for A&M was Danuel House with 21 points, six assists and five rebounds, while Alex Robinson filled his stat line with a game-high 10 assists to go along with seven points and six boards.

The Penguins (7-5) saw their three-game win streak come to an end as Shawn Amiker tally 16 points and seven rebounds, followed by DJ Cole and Shaun Stewart with 15 and 11 points, respectively.

YSU led by three about eight minutes into the meeting, but the team shot just 3-of-9 behind the 3-point line in the frame, compared to 6-of-13 for the host as A&M moved out to a 36-26 advantage at the break.

After converting 48.3 percent from the floor in the first half, the Aggies lit up the scoreboard with an amazing 77.3 percent accuracy after intermission and that including 5-of-7 beyond the arc, as the team cruised to the 18-point home win.

Texas A&M finished the meeting shooting better from 3-point range (11-of-20, .550) than at the free-throw line (8-of-15, .533).
