Brooklyn, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Christian Wood netted 18 points and pulled down 13 rebounds for the double-double to lead the UNLV Runnin' Rebels to a 57-50 win over the Temple Owls in a non-conference clash in the consolation game of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic at Barclays Center.

Cody Doolin chipped in 10 points with five assists for UNLV (3-1), while Rashad Vaughn, Patrick McCaw and Jelan Kendrick all added seven points.

Will Cummings scored 21 points and added seven rebounds for Temple (2-2). Quenton Decosey added 11 points, and Mark Williams secured nine rebounds in the loss.

UNLV shot just 34.6 percent from the floor in the first half, and trailed Temple at the intermission, 27-24, after Temple shot 36 percent in the frame.

But the Owls dropped their shooting percentage to a dismal 15.2 percent in the second period, while the Rebels increased their shooting accuracy to 42.9 percent to grab the lead and the win.

UNLV had a 26-14 edge in points in the paint, and held the Owls to 24.1 percent shooting in the game.
