Corpus Christi, TX (SportsNetwork.com) - Chris Washburn scored 12 points and secured eight rebounds to lead the TCU Horned Frogs to a 61-52 win over the Mississippi State Bulldogs in the title game of the Corpus Christi Coastal Classic.

Amric Fields netted 11 points and Kenrich Williams had a double-double of 10 points and 11 rebounds for TCU (7-0).

Fred Thomas netted 14 points and Trivante Bloodman and Gavin Ware each had 11 for Mississippi State (5-1).

TCU connected on 57.1 percent of its field goal tries in the first half, while Mississippi State had only seven field goals. The Horned Frogs led, 30-21, at the break.

Although the Bulldogs improved to 41.4 shooting in the second half, it was not enough to catch TCU, which converted on 41.7 percent from the floor in the final 20 minutes.

TCU had a 37-33 edge on the boards.
