West Lafayette, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Vince Edwards scored 26 points to carry the Purdue Boilermakers to a 77-57 victory over the IUPUI Jaguars in a non-conference tilt at Mackey Arena.

Kendall Stephens added 24 points for Purdue (2-0).

Leo Svete netted 14 points and DJ McCall chipped in 14 off the bench for IUPUI (0-2).

Both teams shot well in the first half. Purdue connected on 55.2 percent from the field, while IUPUI turned in a 54.5 percent effort. The Boilermakers also got 11 points at the free-throw line, as they led, 48-38, at the break.

The Jaguars cooled to 29.2 percent shooting in the final 20 minutes, which allowed Purdue to pull away for the victory.

Purdue outscored IUPUI, 32-20, in the paint. IUPUI had a 44-13 edge in points off the bench.
