Providence, RI (SportsNetwork.com) - LaDontae Henton scored 24 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as the Providence Friars defeated the Xavier Musketeers, 69-66, in an overtime Big East Conference battle at the Dunkin' Donuts Center.

Kris Dunn added 20 points, 10 rebounds and eight assists for the Friars (15-5, 5-2 Big East). Tyler Harris chipped in with 12 points as Providence has now won four out of its last five games.

As for the Musketeers (12-7, 3-4), Matt Stainbrook scored 17 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. Myles Davis added 16 points and Jalen Reynolds chipped in with 14 points and 13 rebounds.

The Musketeers shot a dismal 32.1 percent from the field and 0-for-7 from beyond the arc in the first half. The Friars shot 42.9 percent from the field as Providence took a 32-20 lead at the break.

In the second half, Providence shot 33.3 percent from the field and 2-of-10 from 3-point range, while Xavier connected on 52.2 percent from the floor and finished the half on a 9-0 run and tied the game at 60-60 to push it to overtime.

In overtime, both teams struggled to start as the first points were scored 2:18 into the period, but Henton's five points carried the Friars to a two- point win.

Providence won despite being outscored in the paint, 40-22. The Friars held a 44-40 edge in rebounding and survived seven lead changes for the victory.
