Athens, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - Craig Bradshaw's layup with a second to play lifted the Belmont Bruins to an 83-81 victory over the Ohio Bobcats in non- conference action at the Convocation Center.

For Belmont (6-1), Bradshaw finished with a career-high 42 points on 14-of-22 shooting, including an 8-of-12 showing from 3-point range. Nick Smith chipped in 14 points and Evan Bradds had 10.

Javarez Willis netted 25 points for Ohio (2-2). Stevie Taylor added 17 points, Ryan Taylor contributed 16 and Maurice Ndour brought down 10 rebounds and came a point short of a double-double.

Belmont entered halftime with a 44-41 lead. The Bruins made 51.6 percent of their shots from the field in the opening period, including 8-of-17 from 3- point range. Ohio was right behind, netting an even 50 percent from the floor, including 6-of-16 from beyond the arc.

The second half featured six ties and 14 lead changes, with the last one coming when Bradshaw broke an 81-81 tie with his game-winner.

Ohio made 49.3 percent of its shots in the contest, but was outscored, 42-27, from 3-point range.
