Rochester, MI (SportsNetwork.com) - Corey Petros paced all scorers with 19 points to lead the Oakland Golden Grizzles to a 70-57 victory over the Chicago State Cougars in the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Athletics Center O'rena.

Petros shot 8-of-11 from the field for Oakland (1-4) while adding seven rebounds. Dante Williams scored 13 points off the bench, Tommie McCune logged a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds and Kahlil Felder stuffed the stat sheet with 10 points, seven assists, six rebounds and four steals.

For Chicago State (2-4), Clarke Rosenberg led the way with 15 points. Jared Dimakos and Anthony Glover netted 11 and 10 points, respectively, while Johnny Griffin narrowly missed a double-double with nine points and 10 boards.

Oakland outshot Chicago State from the field in the opening half, 51.9 percent to 40 percent, as it carried a 37-28 lead into intermission.

The Grizzlies extended their lead to as many as 17 in the second stanza as they cruised to victory.

Chicago State only committed 12 turnovers, but Oakland was able to convert those miscues into 18 points.
