Northeastern Huskies VS. Manhattan Jaspers

Recap: Northeastern vs. Manhattan

Uncasville, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Scott Eatherton scored 22 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Northeastern Huskies defeated the Manhattan Jaspers, 65-51, as part of the Naismith Memorial Basketball Tip-Off at Mohegan Sun Arena.

Also scoring in double figures for the Huskies (4-0) was Zach Stahl who dropped in 16 points and cleared eight boards in the victory.

The Jaspers (1-3) were paced by Tyler Wilson who posted 12 points on 5-of-7 shooting from the floor.

Northeastern came out firing in the first half as it shot a sizzling 66.7 percent from the floor and a perfect 8-of-8 at the free-throw line, en route to a 44-24 lead at the break. Eatherton and Stahl both had 14 points leading up to intermission.

In the second half, the Huskies made a total of just five field goals, but again the team performed well at the charity stripe (10-of-11) in order to take down Manhattan.

Northeastern turned the ball over 23 times but made up for some of those miscues by outscoring the opposition at the free-throw line, 18-6.
