GAME NOTES: The LSU Tigers will attempt to secure their third win in a row when they host the Texas A&M Aggies in Southeastern Conference play on Saturday at the Maravich Center.

After dropping their first two league games, the Aggies defeated Mississippi State on Tuesday, 74-70, for their first SEC win this season. Texas A&M now holds a conference record of 1-2 and overall record of 10-5.

LSU has lost just once in its last ten contests, with its most recent game being a 75-71 victory over Ole Miss on Wednesday. The victory bumped the Tiger's SEC record to 2-1 and overall record to 13-3.

This will be the 30th meeting between these two schools on the hardwood, with LSU leading the series, 17-12. These teams split a pair of games last season, with Texas A&M winning 83-73 on Feb 12, and LSU dominating on Feb 26, 68-49.

Texas A&M made just 40.9 percent of its field goal attempts in the first half, but improved in the final period with a .545 shooting percentage, helping seal the victory. Martin (16.9 ppg, third in the SEC) and Mickey (15.5 ppg, seventh in the SEC) lead the Tigers in scoring this season. Mickey (10.6 rpg, second in the SEC) and Martin (8.9 rpg, third in the SEC) are also LSU's top rebounders. The Tigers are third in the SEC for scoring (75.8 ppg) and field goal percentage (.460). At the defensive end, LSU is allowing opponents to score 67.6 ppg and connect on 39.6 of their field goal tries. LSU is also comfortably in the black for rebounding margin (+4.5).
