Baton Rouge, LA (SportsNetwork.com) - Jarell Martin netted 18 points and grabbed nine rebounds as the LSU Tigers routed the College of Charleston Cougars, 71-47, in a non-conference clash at Maravich Center.

Jordan Mickey tallied a double-double for LSU (9-2) with 15 points and 10 rebounds, adding in six blocked shots. Keith Hornsby chipped in 11 points in the victory, which was the sixth in a row for the Tigers.

Anthony Stitt collected 13 points to pace Charleston (5-7), which has fallen in three straight contests. Canyon Barry added 11 points with six rebounds and four steals, and Donovan Gilmore contributed 10 with eight boards in the loss.

LSU dominated the first half, netting 47.8 percent of its shots from the floor with an 11-of-15 mark from the free-throw line to take a 35-15 lead at the midway break. Charleston shot a dismal 22.6 percent, including 1-of-6 from beyond the 3-point arc.

The Tigers stayed pat at 47.8 percent in the second half shooting the ball, while the Cougars improved to 33.3 percent, which still wasn't enough in the blowout loss.

LSU held a 37-5 advantage in bench scoring, and outscored the Cougars from the charity stripe, 21-8, in the win.
