Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) - Earl Peterson tallied 19 points and five assists to lead the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers to an 86-78 decision over the Oral Roberts Eagles in the CBI Quarterfinals at Gentile Arena.

Montel James contributed 17 points for the Ramblers (21-13), who will advance to face Vermont in the CBI Final Four. Christian Thomas chipped in 15 points, while Milton Doyle netted 14 points.

ORU came up short despite a pair of solid individual performances by Aaron Young and Bobby Word. Young poured in 26 points on 8-of-16 shooting from the field, while Word scored 22 points. Obi Emegano added 10 points on 3-of-13 efficiency from the field.

The Ramblers took a 42-27 lead into the intermission after they hit on 5-of-8 tries from 3-point range in the first half. The Eagles were outrebounded, 21-13, before the break.

ORU trailed by as many as 17 in the second period. Loyola converted 59.1 percent of its field goal tries and 16-of-23 shots at the free-throw line over the final 20 minutes of regulation.

The Ramblers finished with a 43-24 advantage in points in the paint.
