Manhattan, KS (SportsNetwork.com) - Marcus Foster notched 23 points as the Kansas State Wildcats bested the TCU Horned Frogs, 58-53, in a Big 12 Conference clash at Bramlage Coliseum.

Foster sank 10-of-12 at the free-throw line for the Wildcats (8-7, 1-1 Big 12), who snapped a three-game losing streak.

Trey Zeigler netted 19 points for the Horned Frogs (13-2, 0-2), who have dropped back-to-back games after opening their season with 13 consecutive victories.

The teams both had trouble getting going in the first half, with the Wildcats shooting 36.8 percent from the field and the Horned Frogs 33.3 percent. The hosts took a 22-19 lead into the break.

The Horned Frogs improved in the second half, where they shot 48 percent from the floor. The Wildcats' 39.1 percent from the field and 16-of-21 at the line, however, was enough for them to close it out.

TCU failed to establish its perimeter game, knocking down just 1-of-9 from beyond the arc in the contest, not to mention shooting only 14-of-24 at the charity stripe.
