Bloomington, IN (SportsNetwork.com) - Venky Jois logged a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds as the Eastern Washington Eagles came back to beat the Indiana Hoosiers, 88-86, in a non-conference clash at Assembly Hall.

Drew Brandon knocked in 27 points on 10-of-16 from the field for the Eagles (4-1), who returned to form after a loss last time out. Tyler Harvey followed with 25 points.

Yogi Ferrell tallied 27 points and seven assists, hitting 12-of-13 at the free-throw line for the Hoosiers (4-1), who suffered their first loss this season. Troy Williams had 19 points and nine rebounds, while James Blackmon Jr. added 10 points.

The Hoosiers looked confident early on, shooting an even 50 percent from the field in the first half. The Eagles were a little less so, shooting at a 41.9 percent mark, and they trailed, 41-35, at halftime.

The visitors turned it on in the second half, shooting an improved 61.3 percent from the field, while holding the Hoosiers to 44.8 percent. They erased a 12-point deficit and took the lead 66-65 with 6:21 left after Brandon hit two free throws. With 26 seconds left, Parker Kelly hit two free throws to give the Eagles a six-point lead, their largest of the game. The Hoosiers kept things close, but with four seconds left, Brandon sank two more free throws to put his team up five and secure the win, despite a last second 3-pointer by Blackmon Jr.

Eastern Washington outscored Indiana, 48-38, in the paint on their way to a thrilling victory.
