Georgia Bulldogs VS. Seton Hall Pirates

Recap: Georgia vs. Seton Hall

Athens, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - Kenny Gaines scored a game-high 15 points as the Georgia Bulldogs gave the Seton Hall Pirates the hook, 65-47, in non- conference play at Stegeman Coliseum.

The only other double-digit scorer in the outing was Marcus Thornton who tallied 13 points and eight rebounds, while JJ Frazier filled his stat line with six points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and three steals for the Bulldogs (6-3) as they extended their win streak to three in a row.

Seton Hall (9-2) was led by Brandon Mobley, Desi Rodriguez and Khadeen Carrington with eight points apiece as the team saw a two-game win streak come to an end.

The Bulldogs opened the meeting on a 12-2 run and never looked back, using 44.8 percent shooting from the floor and an 11-0 advantage at the free-throw line in the first half to take a 41-22 advantage at the break. The 22 points for the Pirates in the first half were a season low.

Both sides had tremendous difficulty finding the basket in the second half as the Bulldogs converted nine field goals and the Pirates just six, allowing the hosts to cruise to the comfortable win.

Seton Hall, which was crushed on the glass by a 50-31 margin, turned the ball over 14 times and connected on only 3-of-20 shots behind the 3-point line.
