Fresno, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Marvelle Harris scored 18 points as the Fresno State Bulldogs surprised the Utah State Aggies, 61-52, in Mountain West Conference action at the Save Mart Center.

Harris, who shot 5-of-11 from the floor, added seven rebounds and six assists as the Bulldogs (7-9, 2-1 MWC) won their second straight game and the third in the last four outings. Also scoring in double figures for Fresno State were Julien Lewis and Alex Davis with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

The Aggies (9-6, 2-1) were paced by Jalen Moore and his 17 points, as he knocked down three of his four chances behind the 3-point line. David Collette pitched in with 16 points, but after he and Moore there was only one other player (Julion Pearre) who managed to convert more than a single field goal in the contest.

Utah State led by a basket early in the meeting, but the visitor shot only 42.3 percent from the floor in the first half, compared to 57.7 percent for Fresno State, which carried the host to a 35-26 advantage at the break.

In the second half the Bulldogs dipped to only 38.5 percent from the floor and missed all seven opportunities on the perimeter and still the team played even with USU through the final 20 minutes of action.

The Aggies lost the rebounding battle, 39-27, and shot only 5-of-13 at the charity stripe on the night.
