Bridgeport, CT (SportsNetwork.com) - Justin Gordon netted 11 points to lead the Wofford Terriers to a 54-36 win over the Fairfield Stags in round-robin play of the Coaches vs. Cancer Classic inside Webster Bank Arena.

Karl Cochran also made a big impact for Wofford (2-1), as he recorded a double-double with 10 points and 11 rebounds. Spencer Collins chipped in nine points, while Eric Garcia tallied eight points and six assists. Lee Skinner added eight points and the same number of boards for the Terriers.

Marcus Gilbert paced the Stags (1-2) with 10 points on 3-of-7 efficiency from the floor.

Wofford took a 20-12 lead into the intermission despite connecting on just 31 percent of its field goal tries in the opening 20 minutes of play. Fairfield was limited to 4-of-20 shooting from the floor in the first half.

The Terriers pulled away after the break, as they sank 60 percent of their field goal attempts and outrebounded the hosts, 17-10, in the second stanza. The Stags went 1-of-8 from beyond the arc after halftime.

Wofford outscored the Terriers, 15-6, in points off turnovers and also, 19-10, in the paint.
