Fort Collins, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Stanton Kidd registered a double-double with 16 points and 12 rebounds as the Colorado State Rams downed the Georgia State Panthers, 80-70, in a non-conference matchup at Moby Arena.

Daniel Bejarano also netted 16 points for the Rams (2-0), while Gian Clavell contributed 13 points and seven rebounds. J.J. Avila submitted an excellent all-around performance, tallying 13 points, eight assists and six boards. Joe De Ciman rounded out the double-digit scorers for CSU with 11 points.

Ryan Harrow paced GSU (1-2) with 26 points on 11-of-22 shooting from the floor and also handed out five assists. R.J. Hunter provided 19 points on 7-of-17 efficiency from the field. The rest of the Panthers combined to make good on 10-of-18 field goal tries.

GSU managed to take a 34-29 lead into halftime after it connected on 51.9 percent of its field goal attempts in the opening stanza. The Rams trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half.

CSU stormed back to take control after the break by sinking 4-of-10 shots from beyond the arc and converting 15-of-19 tries at the charity stripe. The Panthers were outrebounded, 22-16, in the second period.

Despite the loss, the Panthers outscored the hosts, 40-26, in the paint.

This was the first meeting in history between these programs on the hardwood.
