Boulder, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - Xavier Johnson tallied 15 points and nine rebounds as the Colorado Buffaloes coasted to a 68-53 decision over the Air Force Falcons in a non-conference tilt at the Coors Events Center.

Josh Scott added 13 points on 3-of-5 shooting from the floor for Colorado (2-2). Dominique Collier dealt out six assists in the victory.

Matt Mooney and Trevor Lyons netted 10 points apiece for the Falcons (3-2).

Colorado dominated the opening period en route to a 37-15 lead at the intermission. The Buffaloes knocked down 6-of-10 attempts from 3-point range and limited Air Force to just 23.1 percent efficiency from the floor in the opening 20 minutes of the contest.

The Falcons improved after the break to sink 41.4 percent of their field goal tries, but Colorado managed to protect its advantage on the scoreboard by converting 14-of-17 tries at the charity stripe in the second stanza. The Buffaloes led by as many as 29 in the second half.

Colorado enjoyed a 41-27 edge in the rebounding battle and outscored the Falcons, 15-6, in second chance points.
