West Long Branch, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) - Mikel Trapp scored 18 points as the Wildcats of Bethune-Cookman slipped by Central Connecticut State, 65-60, as part of the CBE Hall of Fame Classic at the Multipurpose Activity Center.

Also scoring in double figures for the Wildcats (2-3) were Clemmye Owens with 17 off the bench and Quentin Brewer 11 points to go along with his 10 rebounds in the victory.

Matt Mobley came up with 22 points for the Blue Devils (0-5) as they remained winless through five outings. Faronte Drakeford added 20 points in the losing cause as well.

CCSU shot an impressive 57.9 percent from the field in the first half, compared to 41.7 percent for the Wildcats, allowing the Blue Devils to claim a 35-27 advantage at the break.

In the second half CCSU made a total of just eight field goals as Bethune- Cookman battled back to take control and the win.

In a game that featured four ties and a pair of lead changes, both sides were guilty of 17 turnovers.
