Recap: Cal State Fullerton vs. San Jose St

Fullerton, CA (SportsNetwork.com) - Alex Harris scored a game-high 20 points as the Cal State Fullerton Titans slipped by the San Jose State Spartans, 70-66, in non-conference play at Titan Gym.

Also scoring in double figures for the Titans (1-2) were Josh Gentry and Moses Morgan with 12 points apiece, the latter also matching Joe Boyd for the team high with seven rebounds.

The Spartans (1-3) were led by Jaleel Williams with 16 points, pacing five players in double figures as the team landed back in the loss column. Rashad Muhammad and Jordan Baker cooked up 11 points apiece and both Frank Rogers and Jalen James posted 10 points in the setback.

SJSU not only shot just 36.7 percent from the field in the first half, but converted a mere 2-of-10 behind the 3-point line in the frame, en route to a 32-26 deficit at the break. It helped that Fullerton also outscored the visitors at the free-throw line in the period, 7-2.

In the second half the Spartans tried to fight their way back to 7-of-13 shooting beyond the arc, but again the team was outscored at the charity stripe, 15-3.

The Titans forced 15 turnovers and created 19 points off those miscues on the day.
