Recap: Arkansas vs. Wake Forest
Fayetteville, AR (SportsNetwork.com) - Rashad Madden scored a team-best 11 points, leading six players in double figures, as the Arkansas Razorbacks crushed the Wake Forest Demon Deacons, 83-53, in non-conference action at Bud Walton Arena.
Alandise Harris, Bobby Portis, Jacorey Williams, Anton Beard and Moses Kingsley each tallied 10 points for the Razorbacks (2-0) as they picked up their second win in as many tries.
The Demon Deacons (2-1) were paced by Devin Thomas who registered a double- double with a game-high 19 points and 10 rebounds, but he was also charged with six of the team's 20 turnovers.
Wake Forest shot only 32.1 percent from the field in the first half, missing all six chances behind the 3-point line, leaving the visitors with a 44-30 deficit at the break. The Demon Deacons didn't do themselves any favors by turning the ball over 11 times in the period either.
In the second half Wake still converted less than 33 percent from the floor, while the Hogs erupted with 61.5 percent in order to pull away for the comfortable victory.
In addition to finishing with more turnovers than made field goals (19), the visitors shot a miserable 1-of-18 behind the 3-point line on the night.
