You Have a Chance to See Cher
Musical icon Cher recently put out her 26th solo album, and is actually touring again, which is great news for fans. Most thought she was done with touring and making new music. After all, she did have a farewell tour back in 2005. It wasn’t until her appearance on The Voice that fans were able to see her perform again, and the news of the new album and tour very sat well with fans of the singer.
Her new tour will start on March 22, in 2014 and will encompass 49 different cities in North America. The first city on the tour is Phoenix, Arizona, while the last city will be San Diego, California. To get fans ready and prepped for the upcoming tour, Cher performed on Today in front of a throng of excited fans, and she looked great doing it. Even though the singer might be 67 years old, she performs, moves, and sings like the Cher from yesteryear that everyone knows and loves.
Cher has been performing since the 1960s when she was writing and performing with her husband at the time, Sonny Bono. They had a great sound, and one of their most popular hits, “I Got You, Babe” is something that everyone, even people who don’t know Sonny & Cher can instantly recognize. The duo had a television show for a time as well. Cher has become more than just a musician and Sonny’s counterpart. She’s an accomplished actress with roles in movies such as Mask and Mermaids. She was even in an episode of Scooby-Doo! The woman has done it all.
Of course, the music is what brings most people to Cher. Some of her most popular solo songs include “Believe”, “If I Could Turn Back Time”, “Just Like Jesse James”, and “Gypsies, Tramps, & Thieves”.
If you have been a fan for years, or if you are a new fan, you do not want to miss seeing Cher when she goes on her latest tour. She’s hitting 49 different cities, so there is a good chance she will be playing in a town near you. Make sure you get your tickets soon.
