Yankees acquire Outman from Tribe
Bronx, NY (SportsNetwork.com) – The New York Yankees have acquired pitcher Josh Outman from the Cleveland Indians in exchange for a player to be named later or cash considerations.
Outman was 4-0 with a 3.28 ERA in 31 relief appearances for the Indians this season. He was also 3-1 with a 4.43 ERA in 23 games at Triple-A Columbus.
The veteran lefty has a career record of 16-11 with a 4.49 ERA in 152 games, 32 of which have been starts, over parts of six seasons with Oakland, Colorado and Cleveland.
