Wolves’ Martin sidelined with fractured wrist
Minneapolis, MN (SportsNetwork.com) – Minnesota Timberwolves guard Kevin Martin will be sidelined indefinitely because of a fractured right wrist.
Martin was hurt during the first quarter of Minnesota’s 115-99 win over the New York Knicks on Wednesday, but played the remainder of the game and scored a team-best 37 points to help the Wolves end a five-game skid.
An MRI exam revealed the extent of the injury and further evaluation over the next few days will determine the course of action for Martin’s treatment and recovery.
Martin is averaging a team-best 20.4 points in nine games this season.
