Wizards’ Beal out with leg injury
Washington, DC (SportsNetwork.com) – Washington Wizards guard Bradley Beal has been diagnosed with a stress injury to his proximal right fibula.
The team said Tuesday that the 2012 No. 3 overall draft pick will be sidelined for the next two weeks and then be re-evaluated.
Beal underwent an MRI Monday after experiencing soreness in the leg.
The 20-year-old has averaged a team-best 20.6 points through 13 games this season. He missed the final eight games of his rookie season because of a stress injury in the same leg.
