Wiratchant rallies to win in Taiwan

Kinkou, Taiwan (Sports Network) – Thaworn Wiratchant closed with a 4-under 68 on Sunday and rallied to win the Yeangder Tournament Players Championship.

Wiratchant ended at 13-under-par 275. This was his 16th Japan Tour title.

Third-round leader Chan Kim was 5-under through 10 holes at Linkou International Golf and Country Club and in control of the tournament. However, he bogeyed three in a row from the 15th en route to a closing 70, which left him one back at minus-12.

Wiratchant had four birdies and a bogey through six holes. A birdie at the 13th moved him to minus-13, and he ended there with five straight pars.

Angelo Que fired a 6-under 66 to grab third at minus-9, while Shih-chang Chan posted a 67 to end alone in fourth at 8-under 280.
