Will the Cast of “Nashville” be going on Tour?
The first season of ABC’s television show “Nashville” has been a huge success, with music lovers of all genres tuning in each and every Wednesday. Now those fans may not have to settle for just watching the stars of the show in two-dimensional form, as the cast might be going out on tour. That is, if show creator Callie Khouri has her way.
“It would be fun but it depends on how much the cast wants to spend their hiatus out playing music,” she says. “If my guess is correct, they’re all going to want to.”
But she may not want to be so sure of herself. The show’s two biggest stars — Connie Britton and Hayden Panettiere — have said that they probably wouldn’t be along for a tour. Admittedly however, Britton does sound a bit more dead-set against it than Panettiere.
“I know a lot of these guys go out every weekend and perform but that’s not what I’m interested in right now,” Britton said.
Panettiere sounded a bit more open to the idea, admitting that the only real thing holding her back from doing it is herself.
“I would need to get over my stage fright first,” she said. “My stage fright is pretty awful. But as you can see on the show, you never know what the heck is going to happen.”
Fans of the show might find it hard to believe that Panettiere has stage fright; but maybe it’s different performing in a crowd full of extras as opposed to a crowd of cheering fans that have actually paid their way in.
Charles Esten, who’s played love interest to both Britton and Panettiere on the show, sounded a bit more positive that a show would happen.
“We’re not sure exactly what it’s going to be or what shape it’s going to take right now,” he said. “I’m down to do the greatest version possible we can do.”
