Wild activate Parise from IR
St. Paul, MN (SportsNetwork.com) – Minnesota Wild left wing Zach Parise was activated off injured reserve on Thursday.
Parise had been sidelined since late December with a foot injury and missed 14 games. He initially suffered a badly bruised foot in late November and played for nearly a month before going on IR.
The 29-year-old veteran entered Thursday’s action with 15 goals and 12 assists for 27 points in 37 games. Despite the extended absence, he is still the Wild’s second-leading goal scorer.
Minnesota assigned defenseman Jonathon Blum to its American Hockey League affiliate in Iowa to open a roster spot.
