Washington to face Ole Miss in regional final
Oxford, MS (SportsNetwork.com) – Andrew Ely hit a two-run homer and Washington beat Georgia Tech 4-2 on Sunday, advancing to the NCAA regional finals.
The Huskies advanced to face No. 1 seed Mississippi on Monday afternoon in a rematch of their game Sunday, which Ole Miss won 2-1.
Second-seeded Washington will have to beat Ole Miss twice on Monday to advance to the super regionals. The Rebels, who are 2-0, will move on with one win.
A second game between the teams, if necessary, would be played Monday night.
The regional’s No. 4 seed, Jacksonville State, was eliminated after losing its first two games.
