Eden Prairie, MN (SportsNetwork.com) – Minnesota Vikings safety Harrison Smith will miss Monday’s game against the New York Giants due to a toe injury.

Vikings coach Leslie Frazier said Thursday that the possibility of surgery for Smith is being discussed.

Smith could be headed to injured reserve with a designation to return. The Notre Dame product has 34 tackles and two interceptions in five games this season.

Andrew Sendejo will start in place of Smith.
