UL-Lafayette stays alive vs. Mississippi St.

Lafayette, LA (SportsNetwork.com) – Jace Conrad hit a two-run homer and drove in three and top-seeded Louisiana-Lafayette stayed alive in the NCAA regionals with a 14-8 win over Mississippi State on Sunday night.

The teams will meet again on Monday night with the winner moving on to the super regionals.

Mississippi, seeded second in the pod, was runner-up to UCLA in last year’s College World Series.

Louisiana-Lafayette had routed No. 4 seed Jackson State 11-1 earlier on Sunday to advance to face Mississippi State.
