Chicago, IL (SportsNetwork.com) – The Minnesota Twins placed pitcher Brian Duensing on the paternity list Monday.

Duensing and his wife, Lisa, are expecting the birth of their second child. The left-hander is expected to return to the club on Thursday.

Duensing pitched to a 4.26 ERA in six games in spring training. Last year, he went 6-2 with a 3.98 ERA in 73 relief appearances for the Twins.

To fill the vacated roster spot, the Twins recalled right-hander Michael Tonkin from Triple-A Rochester.
