Track List for Beyonce Album Leaked; is it Real?

By:
Date:

Before last week, very few albums about Beyonce’s upcoming album were known. She had announced that one was coming, but the title and even release date were still to be confirmed. Now, thanks to the website Idolator, it seems we may have the answer to at least one of those questions.

Last week that website posted what seemed to be a leaked track listing for the new album; which the track list has stated as “Mrs. Carter” along the top. Listed from one to twelve are songs titles, as well as some big names featured on those titles. “Roller Coaster” claims to feature Justin Timberlake, while the first illegible track listing states that Lady Gaga will be lending some vocal support. Other names Idolator is stating also appear on the listing are Azealia Banks, Ne-Yo, Sia, husband Jay-Z, and her sister, Solange.

The only question now is, is it real?

It certainly could be. It has been confirmed that Beyonce’s tour will be called “The Mrs. Carter World Tour,” so it stands to reason that it would be supporting an album of the same name. And many of the people featured on the track listing are extremely close to Beyonce, so it wouldn’t be all that surprising to see them appear on her record. All of this seems to make the story that a member of the production team Stargate accidentally posted the photo to Instagram a little more believable. But just how much?

There are a lot of people claiming that this is a fake, although neither Beyonce nor her representatives have commented on the photo as of yet. Idolator also stated that the album is due out April 11 — which falls in line with the “early April” date everyone had been expecting. However, the 11th is a Thursday, and new album releases typically come out on Tuesdays.

Is that just another indication that this is indeed fake? Or is a different release date just another way that Beyonce makes waves and dares to be different?
