Milwaukee, WI (SportsNetwork.com) – Tenth-ranked Ohio State snapped No. 17 Marquette’s 27-game home winning streak with a 52-35 victory on Saturday. Marquette lost at home for the first time since Dec. 29, 2011. These same two teams were supposed to open last season against each other aboard the USS Yorktown in South Carolina, but due to condensation on the ship’s deck, the game was canceled. Sam Thompson and Shannon Scott both had 13 points for the Buckeyes (3-0), who outscored Marquette by a 33-16 margin in the second half. Aaron Craft tallied 10 points and 10 assists. Todd Mayo scored 11 points and Davante Gardner had 10 for the Golden Eagles (2-1), who shot just 18.9 percent from the field.

Wichita, KS (SportsNetwork.com) – Tekele Cotton scored 18 points and the 16th- ranked Wichita State Shockers beat the Tennessee State Tigers by an 85-71 margin on Saturday. Cleanthony Early added 16 points and seven rebounds for the Shockers (4-0), who outscored Tennessee State by a 57-42 margin in the second half. Nick Wiggins tallied 12 points for the victorious hosts. Patrick Miller ended with 23 points for the Tigers, who are off to their first 0-4 start since the 2010-11 season. M.J. Rhett had 16 points and a game-best 11 boards.

Charlotte, NC (SportsNetwork.com) – Mike Tobey scored 18 points and pulled down seven rebounds to lead 25th-ranked Virginia to a 70-57 win over Davidson on Saturday. Malcolm Brogdon had 17 points and seven rebounds, Justin Anderson scored 12 with eight boards and Akil Mitchell had 11 points and nine rebounds for the Cavaliers (2-1), who have won seven straight against the Wildcats. De’Mon Brooks, Brian Sullivan and Tyler Kalinoski scored 13 points apiece and Kalinoski also pulled down 11 rebounds for Davidson (0-3).
