Texas A&M tops Texas to stay alive
Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Tyler Stubblefield had nine strikeouts in a four-hit complete game and Texas A&M beat Texas 3-2 on Sunday night to force a winner-take-all game in the Houston NCAA regional.
The teams will meet again on Monday night with the winner moving on to the super regionals.
Earlier Sunday, third-seeded Texas A&M rallied back from a 6-0 deficit to beat No. 1 Rice 9-8 in 10 innings, scoring the winning run on a wild pitch.
The fourth team in the regional, George Mason, was already eliminated after losing twice.
