Texans sign NT Mathews

Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – The Houston Texans signed nose tackle Ricardo Mathews to an undisclosed contract on Tuesday.

Mathews has appeared in 52 regular-season games with six starts over four NFL seasons, all with Indianapolis, and has recorded 51 tackles with 1 1/2 sacks.

In 2013, Mathews appeared in all 16 games for the second straight season and posted 18 tackles and a half-sack.
