Fort Worth, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Tyler Alexander gave up just six hits and a walk in a complete game and TCU advanced to the NCAA super regionals with a 6-1 win over Sam Houston State on Sunday night.

The top-seeded Horned Frogs beat third-seeded Sam Houston State for the second time in two days to finish off a 3-0 run through the Forth Worth regional at their home at Lupton Stadium.

The first game between the teams went 22 innings on Saturday night and was won by Boomer White’s two-out RBI single in the top of the 22nd.

Third-seeded Sam Houston State beat No. 4 seed Siena 9-2 earlier on Sunday and would have had to beat the Frogs twice to advance.

Dallas Baptist, the regional’s No. 2 seed, was already eliminated after losing twice.
