Stieglitz dominates Kiyota to retain WBO super middleweight title
Dresden, Germany (Sports Network) – Robert Stieglitz scored a 10th-round technical decision against Yuzo Kiyota Saturday to retain his WBO super middleweight title at the EnergieVerbund Arena.
Stieglitz (45-3) dominated Kiyota from the start before the bout went to the scorecards 40 seconds into the 10th round due to a cut over Kiyota’s left eye.
The scores were 99-90, 100-89, and 99-90 all in favor of Stieglitz.
Kiyota (23-4-1) was deducted a point in the fifth round for hitting on the break.
