Stars F Whitney activated from IR

Frisco, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – The Dallas Stars activated forward Ray Whitney from injured reserve Tuesday, hours ahead of a matchup with the Anaheim Ducks.

Whitney missed the last five games with a lower-body injury later revealed to be a groin issue.

The 41-year-old totaled one goal and seven assists in 17 games prior to the setback.
