Spurs to be without Splitter on road trip

San Antonio, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Center Tiago Splitter will not be joining the San Antonio Spurs on their upcoming two-game road trip because of tightness in his left calf.

San Antonio plays at Toronto on Tuesday and in Milwaukee on Wednesday.

The 6-foot-11 Splitter first experienced discomfort in the calf during the second half of the Spurs’ 102-100 win against Atlanta on Dec. 2.

A native of Brazil, Splitter has averaged 8.4 points and 6.6 rebounds in 19 games this season.
