Have you every thought about achieving enlightenment, or at least a bit more peace of mind through the teachings of Buddhism? Even if you aren’t a Buddhist and do not plan to be, you can still learn quite a bit from the philosophy, and you can learn a substantial amount from one of the most influential people on the planet today – the Dalai Lama. The line of the Lama dates back well over 700 years, and the latest incarnation of the Dalai Lama has become an important cultural and spiritual icon for people all over the world. His talks of peace, both internal and external, gain the rapt attention of all who attend his lectures.

While you probably won’t suddenly harmonize with nature and become one with the universe after seeing the Dalai Lama, chances are you will enjoy the experience greatly! Many who see his talks feel as though they come away with more knowledge of the world and of themselves, and they say that listening as the man speaks provides a true inspiration.

He speaks on a number of different subjects, but most of the time the events will revolve around a specific theme or teaching that he wants to impart. While the Dalai Lama does give a number of lectures around the world each year, his time in the United States always seems limited. Therefore, whenever he does hold events – large or small – the tickets tend to go rather quickly.

He will be coming to Duluth, GA in early October and to New York City ten days later. If you want to see one of the greatest speakers traveling the world today, and you will be in one of these areas during that time, you should try to get your tickets as soon as possible to make sure they are still available. A day of listening to the Dalai Lama speak is a day well spent, and is not something you are likely to forget. Talk with some friends or family to see if they might be interested in attending one of the lectures with you. If not, you can always go on your own.
