Houston, TX (SportsNetwork.com) – Keith Davis buried a pair of free throws in the final seconds to give the Southern University Jaguars a thrilling 68-66 win over the Alabama State Hornets in the semifinals of the SWAC Tournament at the Toyota Center.

Davis, a perfect 4-of-4 at the free-throw line, finished with six points off the bench for the third-seeded Jaguars (18-16), who will now head to the tournament title game on Saturday against the winner of the Prairie View A&M/Texas Southern meeting.

Adrian Rodgers scored a team-best 15 points for Southern, followed by Tre Lynch and Trelun Banks with 14 and 12 points, respectively.

The second-seeded Hornets (19-10) were led by Jamel Waters with a game-high 24 points, to go along with seven rebounds and four steals, but he was also charged with six of his team’s 13 turnovers. DeMarcus Robinson added 14 points and Wendell Lewis 10, while Luther Page and Maurice Strong accounted for 11 and 10 rebounds, respectively.

Alabama State, which led by as many as 10 with less than seven minutes remaining in regulation, shot only 1-of-9 behind the 3-point line in the second half, 4-of-18 for the game.
