Seeing Avenged Sevenfold is a Concert You Will Always Remember

One of the loudest, most aggressive, and best bands that you will ever see live is Avenged Sevenfold, often called A7X by fans. The band hails from Huntington Beach, California, and had a huge following in the Southern California area even before they took the world by storm. Today, they are able to sell out arenas and headline festivals.

They have a varied style of music, including the fast and aggressive rock for which they are most well known. However, in later outings, they added more slow ballads to the mix, and even have a few songs that skirt the lines between rock and country. They even have a number of songs with symphonic and classical elements to them. A7X never ceases to amaze.

Of course, as with so many great bands, tragedy follows them. On December 28, 2009, their longtime drummer Jimmy Sullivan, known as “The Rev” passed away. He was only 28, and it was a huge blow to the band. They’d lost a friend and the world lost an incredible drummer. A7X carried on though and continued recording the album that would become Nightmare. The band has 5 studio albums under their belt, and they are currently recording another for a possible release later in the year.

In 2012 at the Revolver Golden Gods Awards Avenged Sevenfold won the award from “Most Dedicated Fans” and “Best Live Band”. In the past, they’ve also best album, best vocalists, best guitarists, and more. The band has a lot more to offer, and it is exciting to see what they will be able to come up with next.

If you want to see a band that sounds almost CD perfect live, and that puts on a real show for the fans and that is just pure fun, then you need to see A7X. Look for tickets when the band comes to your area. You can have a great time. Just remember, these shows can be quite loud and the energy level of the fans is high. If you are there for the music and don’t want to get into a mosh pit, don’t get too close to the stage!
