See Aziz Ansari for a Hilarious Evening

He started performing as a standup comedian in 2000, which he was doing while he was still in school at NYU. Born in South Carolina, his father is a doctor and his mother works in a medical office.

Of course, the role for which he is probably most famous is that of Tom Haverford on the show Parks & Recreation. Ansari was also one of the minds behind Human Giant, a very popular sketch comedy show that was on MTV for two seasons in 2007 and 2008.

His humor can cover many different areas, and he has an observational style, yet is able to improvise with the best of them.
