Renton, WA (SportsNetwork.com) – Seattle Seahawks tight end Zach Miller will be placed on season-ending injured reserve due to an ankle injury.

Miller, who has been sidelined since Week 3, underwent surgery on his ankle soon after the injury but the procedure wasn’t successful and he will need a second surgery, according to Seahawks coach Pete Carroll.

The eight-year veteran recorded six receptions for 76 yards in three games this season.

The Seahawks’ depth chart at tight end now consists of Tony Moeaki, Luke Wilson and Cooper Helfet.
