Schreefel makes big move in world rankings
Philadelphia, PA (SportsNetwork.com) – Dewi Claire Schreefel cruised to a 7- shot win in Sweden on Sunday and that helped her make a big move in this week’s world rankings.
Schreefel soared 37 spots to No. 111 this week. With the LPGA Tour off, there was little movement at the top of the rankings.
Stacy Lewis remained the No. 1 player and she was again followed by Inbee Park, Lydia Ko, Suzann Pettersen, So Yeon Ryu, Michelle Wie, Lexi Thompson, Shanshan Feng, Karrie Webb and Anna Nordqvist.
Cristie Kerr stayed at No. 11, while Azahara Munoz, Lizette Salas and Na Yeon Choi were 12th through 14th again this week.
The lone change in the top 20 came when Angela Stanford inched up to No. 15 and that move pushed Paula Creamer down to No. 16.
Amy Yang was 17th again and followed by Sun Ju Ahn, Jessica Korda and Hyo-Joo Kim to round out the top 20. The only other change in the top 30 was Chella Choi inching up to 23rd and that knocked I.K. Kim down a notch to 24th.
