Saints’ Sproles exits Sunday
East Rutherford, NJ (SportsNetwork.com) – New Orleans Saints running back Darren Sproles left Sunday’s game against the New York Jets in the first quarter and was diagnosed with a concussion.
Sproles had just one catch for two yards before exiting. He appeared to take a hard shot from Antonio Allen on the reception.
The 30-year-old veteran entered Sunday’s action as the Saints’ second-leading receiver with 36 catches for 366 yards with a touchdown. He has also run for a score.
